We are very fortunate to have such a dependable apparatus fleet. Since the fire department was founded and established in 1986, we continue to have tremendous support from our community. Leaving the days of the "homemade" truck to NFPA compliant apparatus is the goal of the community. Keeping the firefighters as safe as possible when responding and having the equipment necessary to save life and property.

The vehicle was given to the department by the Sampson County Sheriff’s Department. We are blest to have a Sheriff Department that is completely committed to the fire and EMS departments throughout the county.

This vehicle’s primary use is a command vehicle operated  by the Fire Chief, responding directly to all calls and incidents. Equipped with a lap top computer, all operational plans are easily available during any fire related incident. Members also use the vehicle for offsite training seminars throughout the state.
